In addition, there is an amazing train route from Vienna to Budapest or Prague to Vienna, for those who love Europe's capital culture and diversity. Every hour Railjet departs from Vienna to Graz, every 2 hours it runs directly from Prague Central Train station or Vienna International Airport to Graz via Vienna. Two times a day you can catch a 10 years ago. Save. I have been to Prague, not to Budapest, so I can only rate Prague obviously ^^. I liked the gay scene, the people were very friendly, food was great and affordable, sightseeing is good, too, travekl around the city was quite easy with the tube. My only point of criticism would be foreign language knowledge of the locals. Sister Cities: Budapest, Prague and Vienna. Discover the grandiose architecture of these three cities and the charms that distinguish them. Budapest’s Széchenyi Geothermal Baths is among the largest in Europe. Photo by Nick Jenkins. They say that the three Imperial capitals of Budapest, Prague and Vienna are like three sisters joined in
1) In your opinion, which city is better to visit – we’re mostly interested in seeing historic sights, castles, churches, etc., going to the pub and maybe catching a performance or two. (And which is the best to visit in the winter.) 2) I know that hotels in Prague are more expensive than in Budapest, but how does food, entertainment

Prague is Beautiful, but IMO, Budapest is more-so, much more interesting, more to do, and much less Disney-feeling. With 10 days, I'd make sure to be in Berlin for one weekend and Budapest for the other, and have Vienna fall midweek. Budapest takes at least 3 full days of touring to do any kind of a descent job.

Hey there! I’m in Budapest right now and it’s amazing. 8 days is a bit too long, I’d recommend splitting Budapest and Vienna or Budapest and Prague. I loved Budapest, max 3 day city. Be sure to visit a bath. The architercture has more of a wow factor than Prague (I’m leaving for Vienna tomorrow) and the food is amazing.
65 posts. I agree: most places in Prague, Budapest & Vienna accept credit cards. With that said, some places you will visit do not, but getting cash from a cash machine shouldn't be a problem. ATMs are everywhere. Vienna is the only city on your trip officially on the Euro, but some places in Budapest & Prague will accept them.
